HOLM Engineering is not responsible for manufacturing issues, delays, or defects caused by inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, or outdated files provided by customers.
Quotations & Pricing
All quotations provided by HOLM Engineering are based on the information available at the time of quotation. Pricing is determined using project complexity, machining time, materials, tolerances, surface finishes, tooling requirements, inspection requirements, lead times, and production quantities.Quotes may be revised if there are changes to project scope, technical requirements, material availability, manufacturing methods, production volumes, or customer specifications after the original quotation is issued.Unless otherwise stated, quotations remain valid only for the specified validity period. Material costs and supply chain conditions may fluctuate rapidly, particularly for specialty metals, aerospace alloys, and engineering plastics.HOLM Engineering reserves the right to withdraw, revise, or decline quotations at any time before formal order acceptance.
Order Acceptance & Production Approval
Production work will not begin until an order has been formally accepted by HOLM Engineering and all required documentation, approvals, and payments have been received.By approving a quotation or issuing a purchase order, you confirm that all submitted technical data, specifications, dimensions, tolerances, quantities, finishes, and material selections are correct and approved for manufacturing.Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing all quotations, drawings, and production information before authorizing manufacturing.Once production begins, changes to specifications, quantities, dimensions, or materials may result in additional charges, revised lead times, or production delays.HOLM Engineering reserves the right to halt or reject production if technical conflicts, safety concerns, manufacturability issues, or engineering inconsistencies are identified during the manufacturing process.
Design Responsibility & Manufacturability
Customers retain full responsibility for the engineering functionality, performance, application, and final use of any part manufactured by HOLM Engineering. While we may provide design-for-manufacturing feedback, engineering recommendations, machining guidance, or technical suggestions, these recommendations are provided for general manufacturing assistance only and should not be considered certified engineering approval unless specifically agreed in writing. The customer is solely responsible for validating part functionality, structural integrity, safety compliance, thermal performance, assembly compatibility, regulatory compliance, and suitability for its intended application.HOLM Engineering shall not be liable for failures, damages, or losses resulting from product design flaws, incorrect engineering assumptions, improper usage conditions, or customer-approved specifications.
Manufacturing Standards & Quality Control
HOLM Engineering is committed to delivering precision-manufactured components using controlled machining processes, inspection procedures, and quality management practices. All manufactured parts are produced according to the specifications agreed during the quotation and order approval process. However, customers acknowledge that manufacturing processes inherently involve acceptable tolerances, process variation, material behavior, and machining limitations.Minor cosmetic imperfections, tooling marks, edge conditions, color variations, surface inconsistencies, or dimensional deviations within agreed tolerances shall not be considered defects.Where inspection reports, certifications, or quality documentation are requested, such requirements must be specified before production begins.Customers must inspect delivered products promptly upon receipt and notify HOLM Engineering of any alleged non-conformance within a reasonable timeframe. If HOLM Engineering determines that a verified manufacturing defect exists due solely to our production error, we may choose, at our discretion, to repair, replace, remake, or refund the affected components.
Materials & Supply Chain
HOLM Engineering sources materials from approved suppliers and manufacturing partners; however, exact material origin, grain structure, surface appearance, or batch characteristics may vary depending on availability and supply chain conditions.Material certifications, traceability documentation, inspection certificates, or compliance reports must be requested before production begins and may incur additional charges.Certain specialist materials, coatings, treatments, or outsourced processes may require extended lead times beyond standard production schedules.HOLM Engineering is not responsible for delays caused by supplier shortages, transportation disruptions, customs restrictions, import limitations, or material availability fluctuations.
Lead Times & Delivery
Estimated lead times provided by HOLM Engineering are based on current production schedules, supplier availability, and operational capacity at the time of quotation. While we make every reasonable effort to meet agreed deadlines, delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless explicitly confirmed in writing.Production schedules may be affected by machine maintenance, material shortages, technical revisions, design changes, inspection delays, shipping interruptions, labor shortages, customs processing, or force majeure events.HOLM Engineering shall not be liable for losses, penalties, downtime, or indirect damages resulting from delayed deliveries.Risk of loss or damage transfers to the customer once goods are shipped, collected, or transferred to the designated carrier.
Payments & Financial Terms
Customers agree to pay all invoices according to the agreed payment terms stated in quotations, invoices, or commercial agreements.HOLM Engineering reserves the right to require deposits, milestone payments, upfront payment, or full prepayment before beginning production, particularly for custom manufacturing projects, prototypes, or high-value orders.Late payments may result in suspended production, delayed shipment, cancellation of orders, withholding of deliverables, additional administrative charges, or legal recovery action where applicable.Unless otherwise stated, all pricing excludes taxes, duties, import fees, shipping charges, customs clearance fees, banking fees, or government-imposed charges.
Intellectual Property Rights
All drawings, CAD files, specifications, models, product concepts, manufacturing data, and technical documentation supplied by customers remain the property of their respective owners.By submitting files to HOLM Engineering, you confirm that you have the legal right to use, manufacture, reproduce, and share the submitted content.HOLM Engineering shall not be responsible for verifying ownership of customer-submitted intellectual property and shall not be liable for intellectual property disputes arising from customer-provided designs. All branding, visual assets, graphics, engineering illustrations, website content, icons, layouts, text, documentation, and original materials published by HOLM Engineering remain our intellectual property and may not be copied, reproduced, modified, or redistributed without written permission.
Confidentiality
HOLM Engineering understands the importance of protecting confidential engineering and commercial information. We take commercially reasonable measures to protect customer drawings, technical documentation, prototypes, specifications, and proprietary manufacturing data from unauthorized disclosure. However, customers acknowledge that certain manufacturing processes may require limited sharing of technical information with approved suppliers, subcontractors, inspection providers, logistics partners, or external processing facilities involved in production.Unless a separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is executed, customers should avoid submitting highly sensitive confidential information beyond what is necessary for quotation or manufacturing purposes.
